Detroit's Most Intimate Room

At the end of an unsuspecting alley, below a boisterous sports bar, lies Detroit’s Most Intimate Room. Born from the intersection of indulgence, mischief, charm, and sophistication- Saksey’s is an undeniable invitation to immerse oneself within a seamless blend of opulence and warmth. Designed by Pophouse in conjunction with 7OH2 Hospitality, the world above ceases to exist within this intimate space where elevated hospitality is bolstered by the refined use of glossy woods, sumptuous velvets, dreamy lighting, and adventurous patterns. Service is luxe but playful to deliver alluring energy within this moody and rich atmosphere.

Never shy, never too serious, always memorable.

Saksey’s harkens back to a beloved Gilbert family establishment. At the height of the 60’s, the supper club invited Detroit’s socialites to enjoy a martini (or two, or three) with live musical entertainment. The experience celebrated freedom, exploration, and indulgence. Our elevated interpretation of this experience gives all of the energy and none of the stuffiness that can come with the traditional speakeasy. The space provides a night to remember, or possibly forget.

Saksey’s will live in 1550 Woodward, in the heart of Detroit’s central business district. Walking through the alley and down a flight of stairs adds to the feeling of anticipation and exclusivity. As you enter the space, deep luxurious textures and the smell of aged leather pull you into the experience. Opulent materials such as rare marble and a fully lacquered bar call back to the maximalism of the 60’s. A roaring brass band of patterns, finishes, and textures create a complex composition that delights the senses.

Detroit’s Most Intimate Room plans to open it’s doors to our community in Spring 2024.
