Designed by SHoP Architects, Hudson’s is a global destination spanning 1.5M GSF across two buildings, featuring GM’s global headquarters, The Detroit EDITION hotel, residences, retail, dining, event spaces, and activated public realms. Pophouse designed the tenant amenity spaces.

Hudson’s amenity suite is designed as a daily retreat at the heart of the building, offering tenants a place to reset between work and home. Inspired by boutique hospitality, the space unfolds as a series of distinct yet connected rooms, each shaped for a different kind of experience. A sculptural reception moment, defined by rich stone and modern lighting, creates a warm contrast to the surrounding atrium and sets the tone for a more intimate tenant experience.

Beyond reception, a residential-style lounge invites longer stays with layered textiles, rich materials, and built-in shelving that recalls a private library. Memorabilia from the original J.L. Hudson Department Store and Detroit sports culture gives the space a sense of place, while the kitchenette, sports lounge, and wellness studio support everything from casual gatherings to movement and recovery. Together, these spaces create a curated amenity experience that feels warm, flexible, and distinctly Detroit.
